FREE Recruiting Education Seminar, Dec. 18th at UTSA
San Antonio Sports Partners with the THSCA for an Evening of Recruiting Education
San Antonio, TX – San Antonio Sports is proud to announce a FREE college recruiting “Super Seminar” for high school athletes, their parents, high school coaches and counselors on Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 at 6:30pm in the Convocation Center on the campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The Super Seminar is provided free of charge through a joint partnership between San Antonio Sports, the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA), and the 501(c)3 nonprofit Recruiting Education Foundation, Inc.
THSCA Executive Director DW Rutledge said, “There is a lot of misinformation concerning recruiting, particularly regarding academic eligibility. Given the dramatic NCAA academic rule changes that are going to impact the class of 2016, the process for academic preparedness needs to start now. Our Super Seminar on December 18thwill serve as a solid first step for any student-athlete with an interest in playing sports at the college level.”
“San Antonio Sports is proud to be a partner in this initiative. The high school landscape deserves a no-strings attached evening of education about the recruiting process. We strongly encourage all student-athletes grades 8ththrough 12thas well as area high school coaches, AD’s and counselors to take advantage of this event. It will assist defining a path for our young athlete’s futures,” said San Antonio Sports Executive Director Dr Susan Blackwood.
