then choose the Order/Renew Option.

Or you may Download a Membership Registration Form Below, 
Fill it out, Print, Sign and fax/mail it with your payment.
The same form may be used for purchasing Membership, Coaching School Tuition and Professional Liability Insurance.

If you are wanting immediate access to the online Member Services (job board, open dates, resume posting, etc.) and you do not have a membership for the curretnt school year... you will need to download the 2012-13 membership form below and fax or mail it to us. You cannot purchase membership for the current 2012-13 school year online after February 1st. If you purchase a membership for 2013-14 you will not have access to the online services until September 1, 2013.

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
The THSCA membership enhances your professional growth and gives you an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of your profession.

LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATION
Members of the THSCA are represented by a strong State leadership organization, which monitors current legislation and protects the coaching profession's best interest, and strives for the highest possible professional standards, as outlined by our Bylaws, Policies and Code of Ethics.

BENEFIT PROGRAMS
Permanent Disability Benefit Program: Benefits of $1,200.00 - $1,700.00 per athlete, per year, if head coach** of team is a member of the THSCA at time of injury.

Memorial Athletic Benefit Program: Death benefit of $3,000.00 to parent(s) of athlete when death was caused while participating in a scheduled practice or game, if head coach** of team is a member of the THSCA at the time of death.

Benevolence Fund: This fund is used for special needs and hardship cases in the areas of Permanent Injury and Memorial Benefits for our athletes and coaches.

LIABILITY INSURANCE
Eligible members may purchase an optional Coaches Professional Liability Insurance policy which provides coverage and legal assistance for the Coach both on the field and in the classroom.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Annual Coaching School and Convention:  The four-day annual conference offers cutting-edge educational sessions and multiple networking events and exhibits and provides opportunities for members to benefit from a variety of rules meetings and outstanding speakers.  It provides new contacts, a line of communication and forum for the exchange of ideas and information within your profession for a minimal tuition.  

Continuing Professional Development Certification (PDC): The aim of this program is to keep our coaches abreast of up-to-date information on key and essential topical matters relating to the health and safety issues as well as developmental issues affecting our student athletes today.

Texas Coach Magazine Subscription: Members receive 9 issues of TEXAS COACH, the primary publication of the THSCA, containing articles on the skills and techniques of the various sports as well as articles on current topics of interest relating to the safety and well being of our student athletes.

THSCA Headlines NewsBrief:This weekly email news feed keeps coaches in the loop on headline news stories from across the state, and provides up to date information on THSCA events, programs and services.

VOTING, AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS
Active Members (coaches of Texas secondary schools and athletic directors in the public school system of the UIL who are actively coaching) are eligible to vote in all Association elections, and nominate coaches for Hall of Honor, Board of Directors, All-Star Coach, Advisory Committees and other awards.  

All-Star Games: Eligibility of senior boys to be nominated and considered for the annual All Star squads, provided the head coach of sport is a member of the THSCA as of October 15^th, each year.  

Academic All-State Teams: Eligibility of senior athletes to be nominated for Academic All-State teams, provided the head coach of sport is a member of the THSCA as of October 15^th, each year. THSCA Academic All-State Teams posted on-line.

State Championship Ring: Head Coaches of UIL sports who are members in good standing as of October 15^th are eligible to receive a THSCA State Championship Ring from the Balfour Company. Eligible coaches are recognized each year at the Balfour Hall of Honor Luncheon and presented with their rings.

25-Year Plaques:Those members who have completed 25 years of membership in the THSCA are honored with a commemorative plaque for their loyalty.

Hall of Honor: Honors members and past members of the Association for outstanding leadership and service to the coaching profession.  

Victory Plaques & Certificates: Given to member coaches in all sports who have reached the required number of  wins for that sport.  

Scholarships:Eligibility of your senior son or daughter to receive one of the ten $1,000 scholarships being offered by the THSCA, provided you are an ACTIVE member.  

** The THSCA interprets "head coach" to mean the coach who is responsible for the team and is actually responsible for substituting during competition of any of the UIL sanctioned school sports.  (i.e., varsity, junior varsity, sophomore teams, freshman teams, 7^th& 8^thgrade teams.  The head coach must be an active member and in good standing on the day prior to the death or injury occurred.

THSCA members have unlimited access to the Association's World Wide Web site which includes:  

Updated Job Database: Allows coaches to post jobs that are available and allows candidates to search for openings.

Employment Profile Database: Allows coaches to post personal employment profiles and search candidate database.

THSCA Buyers Guide: Coaches and Athletic Directors may utilize this online resource to search for products, services and equipment to suit the needs of their home school.

Open Dates Bureau:Aides coaches in scheduling of games and scrimmages in all sports.

Archives: A library of archives exists on the THSCA website including Academic All-State Teams, Past THSCA Award Winners, and Professional Development Cooperative Lecture Series. The most recent additions to these archives are past issues of Texas Coach Magazine.

Recruiting Webinar:This free services provides online webinars with tips on the recruiting process for today’s athletes. These webinars are formatted for both parents and athletes, as well as coaches, counselors and administrators.

Discounted Travel and Hotel Accommodations: Allows Members to utilize THSCA’s Personalized Travel Discounts site to save money on team and personal travel.

MiQuotes:Online access to the THSCA customized MiQuotes insurance site to get discounted rate quotes on all types of insurance. Though THSCA is not directly responsible for the insurance policies and claims, MiQuotes works with our members to customize a policy to fit each member's needs. Members may also look online for free discount benefits on anything from prescription drugs to road side assistance packages.
