The Texas High School Coaches Association is now recognizing Academic All-State Athletes in 13 different sports. Including both men's and women's athletics.
All nominations must be submitted online through www.pressboxservices.com (we no longer accept the paper forms by fax or mail).
The following is a list of those sports and the deadline for nominations in each:

SWIMMING/DIVING JAN 10-2012
WRESTLING JAN 10-2012
GIRLS BASKETBALL FEB 1-2012
BOYS BASKETBALL FEB 1-2012
SOCCER MAR 1-2012
TENNIS APR 1-2012
GOLF APR 1-2012
TRACK APR 1-2012
SOFTBALL MAY 1-2012
BASEBALL MAY 1-2012
To nominate an athlete, the head coach of that sport must visit www.pressboxservices.com and click on the the "Academic All-State Nominations" link on the right hand menu. The nominating coach must be an active member in good standing of the THSCA as of October 15th, 2011.
Nominated athletes must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for recognition:
- Have an overall grade point average of 92 or above, including grades 9-12 and the first six weeks of grade 12
- Have been a member of the team in good standing at the time of nomination
- Must be a senior
- Be of good moral character
